Common Questions

Common Questions

Here is a list of questions we hear frequently from entrepreneurs who are investigating the Inner Circle® peer group opportunity:

What is the role of the franchisee?

Franchisees are responsible for recruiting members and forming Inner Circle® peer advisory groups. They do this through a variety of marketing, public relations and networking strategies outlined in our training programs and using resources provided by the Home Office.  Franchisees also facilitate the monthly meetings, bringing value to the group through the application of good facilitation skills: asking probing questions, drawing all members into the discussion to encourage balanced participation, keeping the meeting on task and on time, and often just fading into the background and allowing the group to do its work. The franchisee may also choose to use Associates, who can assist with some or all of the above mentioned responsibilities.

How does the typical Inner Circle franchisee operate their business and how much time do they spend?

Inner Circle franchisees spend one morning a month facilitating each of their Inner Circle meetings. The meetings are three hours in length, scheduled on a fixed day (example - second Tuesday), and are held at a hotel or other meeting center. Other activities include marketing the Inner Circle model to the local business community and recruiting new members. After the initial start-up phase, franchisees generally spend only a few hours a week on administrative responsibilities – the operation is simple and flexible. Most of the time is spent interacting with current members or potential members, discussing issues, preparing members for upcoming presentations, considering new ideas and putting members in touch with resources. Most franchisees operate their office out of their home.

What makes an ideal Inner Circle franchisee?

The ideal franchisee is a seasoned business professional and entrepreneur who is well connected and highly respected in their local community. A franchisee must be other-centered and empathetic. This is an essential aspect to proper operating within the Inner Circle system.
